With Meta's recent updates, navigating your Facebook feed—especially on business pages—has become more challenging. Both personal and business feeds are now seeing an influx of Not Safe for Work (NSFW) content through suggested posts, REELS, and pages. It's increasingly difficult to discern between legitimate content and SPAM. Today’s tips are specifically focused on helping you filter out nudity and graphic violence from your business page feed to ensure it aligns with professional standards and your company’s values.
Step-by-Step Guide to Curating Your Facebook Business Page for NSFW Content
Step 1: Access Your Business Profile
Click on your personal profile picture in the top right corner.
Select the business profile you wish to adjust.
Note: If you manage multiple business pages, repeat these steps for each page.
Step 2: Navigate to Settings
Click on ‘Settings & Privacy’ from the drop-down menu.
Step 3: Adjust Content Preferences
Within the settings menu, find and select ‘Content Preferences’.
Step 4: Manage Default Settings
Click on ‘Manage Defaults’ to explore various content control settings.
Step 5: Tackle Sensitive Content
Focus on the ‘Sensitive Content’ settings.
Here, you'll see different defaults that can be adjusted. Today we are focusing on Sensitive Content
Step 6: Set Preferences for NSFW Content
The default setting may already be selected. If your page is okay with showing content that includes nudity and violence, no changes are needed.
To align more closely with typical business standards, select ‘Show Less’ under Sensitive Content. This is highly recommended to maintain professionalism.
By choosing ‘Show Less’, you will see options to filter out:
Sexually suggestive content
Certain violent or graphic content
Profiles that repeatedly share posts violating Community Standards
SAVE YOUR SETTINGS! It is important to click "SAVE" and not just "X" out of the window.
Step 7: Save Your Settings
It's crucial to hit ‘SAVE’ to ensure your changes are applied. Simply closing the window (hitting ‘X’) will revert your settings to the default.
This setup not only helps in maintaining the professionalism of your business page but also ensures that the content being displayed is in line with your company's values. We understand the importance of a clean and relevant feed, and by following these steps, you can better curate your business's online presence against nudity and graphic violent content.
