Are You Listening? Like, REALLY Listening To Your Audience?


It should go without saying that content creation is key in getting your message out to you customers, clients, and followers. You've spent hours creating and crafting just the right message, hit submit and sent it off in the the vast of the internet. Or is it now, metaverse? 😉


So, what comes next? SOCIAL LISTENING


You'll want to be sure that you are diligently listening to the "feedback" from your audience. How can you analyze feedback and what feedback are you looking for? Some is pretty straightforward such as customers, clients, and followers reaching out to you but there are other less obvious types of feedback you need to be looking for.


  • What content are they responding to?

  • Are there any particular posts that seem to get retweeted or shared?

  • More likes?

  • Linked to?

It will take some time but eventually your audience will be the ones that help you understand what content you need to create.

In addition to action on posts you also need to start evaluating which type of content is generating the most interest.


  • Graphics with minimal text?

  • Video content?

  • Interactive content such as polls?

  • Branded or unbranded content?


Listen to your clients, customers and followers. You need to develop meaningful relationships with your audience. Listen and learn and be a part of the conversation. Don't ever leave your audience left to wonder if you are engaged.
